New Slots to Play: Week 17, 2020

New Slot Releases

New video slots releases isn’t just a show about the biggest titles launching every week. It also highlights some lesser know games you, the players, might want to put on your radar. Admittedly, the majority of the titles presented here come from the biggest names in the industry, which means you’ve probably already heard of them. Still, there might be a gem or two you might have missed out on.

Before we get started we’d like to remind all our UK readers of the exclusive Fun Casino promo that’s currently running. There are 10 free spins up for grabs in Blueprint Gaming‘s hugely successful release Rick and Morty Megaways. You can read all you need to know about the promo here. If you enjoy participating in promos and giveaways we also suggest you subscribe to our official partner and casino streamer‘s Youtube channel – Blackcatseven.

Ring of Odin (Play’n GO)

With such an exceptionally high production rate, it’s unusual not to have at least one Play’n GO title featured in the list of new video slot releases. We don’t mind though. Most are actually quite decent, which is more than can be said of some of the other developers who are trying the same approach.

Having said that, Ring of Odin is far from the strongest of games we’ve seen from the Swedes this year. It’s still a comparably solid slot, mind you. But yielding a score of “only” 76% here at Bigwinboard, it undoubtedly failed to live up to some of our expectations.

Nonetheless, there’s a lot of excitement to be had here due to the well crafted audiovisual presentation, a nice 5,000x max win potential, and well-balanced mathematical model. It’s not for everyone, but some will definitely get some enjoyment out of it.

Wilhelm Tell (Yggdrasil Gaming)

Now, this is a strange one. Not the game itself, but the fact that it didn’t show up on the digital shelves until now despite the fact that we were given the opportunity to review Wilhelm Tell more than a year ago. Admittedly, we didn’t investigate any further and it’s highly likely that the game was released exclusively somewhere. Either way, we’re glad it finally did arrive because it’s a wholesome, charming and fun slot.

Based on the Swiss legend of crossbow marksman Wilhelm Tell, this 5-reel, 20-payline release from Yggdrasil Gaming comes with nudging stacked wilds and a free spins feature in which 50x multipliers may land to boost your winnings up to a whopping 7,500 times your stake. Well worth a shot in other words.

Gorilla Gold Megaways (Blueprint Gaming)

When Gorilla Gold Megways was showcased at the London ICE conference earlier this year, it certainly raised a few eyebrows. As mentioned in the review, it’s not the first time a game developer has incorporated 4 separate game areas in one slot, but it’s the first time something like this has been tried in combination with the Megaways engine.

This newly introduced Power 4 Slots engine from Blueprint Gaming is a fun novelty in its own right, but there are other advantages on offer here as well. In countries where regulators are enforcing delayed spins, Gorilla Gold Megaways is a great option to play since the action is constant without any annoying pauses between spins. More importantly, it comes with an exceptionally high RTP of 97.0%, which means more cash returned to the players and less to the casinos.

Survivor Megaways (Big Time Gaming)

It’s not every day you get the privilege of playing a brand new Big Time Gaming slot. The newly released Survivor Megaways nails the very essence of why we’ve (well, many of us) have grown to love the Australians; the refined and exceptionally well-balanced gameplay, player-friendly RTP, outstanding potential, and exciting features.

Those who have grown a bit disillusioned with Big Time Gaming‘s chase mechanics found in previous releases Lil’ Devil and Royal Mint will be happy to learn that Survivor Megaways is far more straightforward and explosive.

As you may have figured out, this is a branded title based on the reality tv-show Survivor. With up to 100,842 ways to win when fully expanded, this bad boy *slaps roof of car* has the potential to send you off to a nice holiday resort rather than some mosquito infested island.
